The Knotted and Patched collections feature unique jewellery pieces that embrace a sense of "worn" beauty, often embodied in imperfections like holes and textured surfaces. Each item invites viewers to look closer to explore the patterns and intricacies, and appreciate these "imperfections" as reminders of transience and the stories they hold.
In Patched, the jewelry pieces are crafted using a 3D pen and then transformed into metal. This technique allows me to maintain a hands-on approach to my work, which I greatly appreciate. The focus here is on the texture and the metal structure, which resemble the fibers and loose threads of a piece of fabric. This gives the jewelry a distinctive look, akin to something that might be worn, torn, or in need of repair. It's a method I'm particularly fond of because it enables me to continue drawing and creating with my hands, infusing each piece with a personal touch.
