From wax to silver!

Carve your jewellery piece! In this course, I will guide you to learn the techniques of wax carving, sand casting and finishing. Together we will create your unique ring or pendant.

Duration: 4 hours

At the start of the course, we’ll discuss your design and explore the different possibilities. If 4 hours aren't enough to complete your jewelry piece, we'll reassess the design and decide whether to extend the class with another session or adjust the design to fit within the available time. Please note that if an additional session is required, there may be an extra fee.

Price: 250€ (wax and silver included for a max of 5mm width for rings. For larger jewellery pieces an additional fee might be applied)

The course typically lasts 4 hours.
You'll find us at our studio, the What If Studio Gallery, situated at Pappelallee 12, Berlin.
Our courses can be conducted in English, Italian, or German to cater to your preferences.
Here's a brief overview of the process:
Wax Carving: We begin by carving a wax model of your jewelry piece, sculpting it to perfection with intricate details and unique textures.
Sand Casting: Once your wax model is complete, it's cast in metal by you at our What If Studio Gallery. This hands-on step allows you to actively participate in the creation of your jewelry.
The completion of whole process in one day, during the 4-hour-course, depends on the number of participants. Our primary goal during the session is to conclude the wax-carving and sand-casting phases. Everyone will have the chance to see the melting and casting process.
If time permits, the finishing touches will be addressed within the same course session.
Alternatively, Francesca will add the final touches and we will schedule an extra date for participants to collect their jewellery pieces.

Your course fees are inclusive of material (wax+silver) costs, ensuring you have what you need to craft a ring with a width of up to 5mm. However, if your vision calls for a wider and more substantial piece, please be aware that there may be an additional fee. This covers the extra materials required, and we're committed to keeping you informed every step of the way.
Course fee:
1 Person: 250€
2 People: 450€ - add one friend
3 People: 650€ - add 2 friends
4 People: 800€ - add 3 friends
5 People: 1000€ - add 4 friends
Please note: These prices include silver for a ring with a maximum width of 5mm. For wider silver bands, the material cost will be calculated during the workshop based on the ring's weight.
